The secret to this are the MUFAs an acronym for the monounsaturated fatty acids present on your meals. Saturated Fatty Acids (SFA) is not healthy as they can congest arteries, can cause heart ailment and can make you pile-up fats.

How can we be able to recognize SFA? The SFA is semi-solid if kept in room temperature and will harden like a butter or margarine when placed in the fridge. Foods with high proportion of saturated fat include dairy products (cream, cheese, butter and ghee); animal fats such as suet, tallow, lard and fatty meat; coconut oil (which is commonly used in the Philippines, cottonseed oil, palm kernel oil, and among other foods. Whilst SFA is not good for your tummy, the MUFAs aren’t and it is the exact opposite of the SFAs and when it is inside the refrigerator it will just turn into semi-solid.

Here is the simple yet effective and efficient rule of the Flat Belly Diet, which is proven to make your tummy flat, and makes you feel and look sexy:

  1. Eat four meals per day and consume just up to 400 calories per meal. Health conscious individuals are adept to this category, which is counting calorie contents of their ingested foods.
  2. Eat foods rich in MUFA in your every meal.
  3. Never go far more than four hours without eating. Remember that our body digests the food we eat especially our meals in four hours.

Oils

Although Canola and Safflower may easily qualify as a good source of MUFAs, extra virgin oil is by far most versatile than the two. Dark Chocolates

Chocolates especially the dark ones with at least 70% cacao content are also good source of MUFAs. Chocolates have antioxidants that can help prevent aging. Chocolates can also help you from feeling lonely as it enhances your mood and it makes you happy. Additionally these wonderful and truly delicious chocolates are known to have laxative-effect that makes you feel relax and calm.

Recommended amount of chocolate intake after a meal is three fingers in width and one inch in length.

Avocados

One of the most versatile fruits in the planet, the avocados have fats that are beneficial to the body. Aside from its helpful MUFAs, avocados is packed with oleic acid that can help you reduce cholesterol and is also rich in folate, carotenoids, vitamin E and potassium.
